Wafer (tumbler) assembly machines load springs and wafers (tumblers) into both sides of plugs (barrels). 

Possible options include the following: marking of the front of the plug (barrel) using a single-point CNC marker, deburring of the wafer (tumbler) and spring cavities, testing of the lock function with a master key, and testing the lock function with a change key. Expanded features may include the following: adding caps to the plug (barrel), installing seal rings (O-rings), and adding actuators. 

An operator manually loads the plug (barrel) and cut key into the respective nests. Vertical magazines automatically supply the wafers (tumblers) and a beehive type spring feeder automatically feeds the springs via plastic tubing. LVTD probes read the key cuts to determine the correct combination or a file provides the code information. Finished assemblies are automatically unloaded.
