Bolt forming machines take a 3-meter rod from an automatic feeding system and turns it into a padlock locking bolt.   Depending on the bolt design, three or four rotating cutters, on a servo controlled slide, form the required sections of the brass to produce the bolt.  When needed, a drill spindle adds the hole for the spring.
