Cross key bitting machines automatically mark, cut, and ring keys. A pneumatic single-point marker adds the code number to the key. Two carbide cutting blades on two XY servo system cut the required notch depths on four sides of the key.  Each station cuts two sides of the four-sided key. A scraping tool and a rotating brush deburrs the notches. The ringer station rings the keys in sets of Key-Alike and unloads the finished keys into bins or sequentially onto rods.
A magazine stacker or a vibratory feeder bowl with hopper automatically feeds the key blanks.
